Why Toddler Community?

In Montessori, classrooms for children aged 12 to 36 months are traditionally called infant communities. We’ve decided to use the term toddler instead of infant for greater clarity.

Do you have a dress code?

We don’t have a formal dress code, but we strongly recommend clothing that allows your child to play freely and independently use the bathroom. Our recommendations can be found in the school handbook.

Do you do potty training?

Yes, we watch for signs of readiness and focus on building the foundational skills to help with a smooth transition out of diapers.

Are you open on Holidays?

We follow the Seattle School districts calendar. https://www.seattleschools.org/news/school-calendar/#25-26

What is your ratio?

We have a maximum teacher to child ratio of 1:6

What age does my child have to be to enroll?

Our program is designed for toddlers ages 1-3. Your child must have turned 1 before their first day.

Where are you located?

We are a brand new school, currently searching for our long term home. Our future location will be between Othello and the Montlake bridge, on the Lake Washington side of I-5. We're prioritizing plenty of natural light, hardwood floors, and a spacious outdoor area.

What is your vaccination policy?

To ensure the safety of our community, we require all children to be up to date on their vaccines.
